Thailand Luxury Villas Holiday: The Way to Stay!
Thailand Luxury Villas: The Way to stay!
Thailand experienced in recent years, seen a large increase in the number of private villas available for holiday rental. Here we investigate the market town, and make our recommendations on how to find and book a villa, and where to stay on your next vacation.
These alternatives to hotel or resort accommodation often offer exceptional quality and a high level, but a series of very second rate properties are widely advertised online and in some cases offer only a room in a condo with fatigue in a bad position: it is important for the tourist to know how to find a suitable villa, and to understand pricing structures general in the place, so be sure to get a nice house, clean and serviced at the right price.
It is perfectly possible to rent your own villa in Thailand for their holidays and not only enjoy high quality accommodation, but also a lot of services at prices that in fact make such vacation the sensible alternative to booking a room – or even for those with friends and family, a series of rooms – at a resort.
Why Why Thailand?
Thailand is a perfect destination for those wishing to rent their own house or villa, for several reasons:
– Thai people are broadly recognized as a welcoming, smiling people
– The kitchen of the kingdom is world famous, but most visitors know the famous dishes, such as Tom Yam Kung, variety of cuisine and regional specialties is great, seriously, a wolverine would have trouble trying to experience the full array of dishes Thai in just one room.
– Thailand is a shopper's paradise, offering unique silk, handmade furniture and a plethora of exotic products at a fraction of the cost of goods both in the West. Clothing, leather goods and decorative items are often at the top of the purchases of visitors list.
– Thailand offers exceptional value for money: even five-star hotels cost a fraction of what they do not just Western but also in other Asian capitals like Hong Kong or Singapore.
– Thailand welcomes millions of visitors to its shores each year, and personal security is excellent. Any reported crimes tend to be lower, scams involving jewelry and the like, but the most experienced traveler is unlikely to fall for these. Most visitors will feel infinitely safer in Thailand than they ever equal capitals like London, Paris, New York etc.
What I visited region of Thailand?
The visitor to Thailand is now spoiled for choice, with villas available throughout the kingdom.
For shorter stays, we recommend a stay single destination, so you can avoid the inconvenience of travel and fully explore the chosen location. For stays longer, why not combine a stay in two different places, allowing you greater exposure to the country and its diversity, but taking advantage of their Cheap domestic travel network? (See below)
Thailand is generally divided into four major regions.
Bangkok and Central Plains
Bangkok is a city that, despite its famous traffic congestion and crowded streets, offers a variety of things to do and discover, to those who have patience and a willingness to explore. The restaurants in Bangkok are insurmountable, if they try to Thailand or foreign cuisine, and weekend and worth exploring other markets, such as do many of his lesser-known temples. A river cruise Chaophraya – perhaps for private long tail boat – is a great way to see most of the city without being reduced to tears by traffic.
Northern
Northern Afghanistan is home to cities such as Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai and Mae Hong Son. With forests tropical hills, the North attracts those looking for hiking or find places of natural beauty. Do not try to avoid big cities, as tourism is highly developed here there is a risk of simply being "processed" through a number of camps and excursions trite popular elephant hill tribe.
The Northeast
The Northeast is the largest region of the kingdom, however, has been largely untouched by tourism. The northeast (or ISAN) is the dish country's rice, and is predominantly agricultural, producing rice, sugar cane, tapioca, eucalyptus and, increasingly, rubber. Khon main centers are Kaen and Udon Thani, and the mighty Mekong River twists along the borders of this region. The people here are perhaps the most open and fun-loving country, perhaps because their lives are based on the traditions of the town where open consumerism has been much slower to move than in the other booming parts of the nation. Northeast Travel recommended for those seeking a unique experience to get away from the crowds of tourists and dive into something new.
Southern
Southern Thailand is known for its famous beaches and resorts such as Phuket, Krabi and Koh Samui. Some of the holiday villas in the country are more expensive here. Travelers should be aware of security problems in the south of the country and avoid travel to the southernmost provinces: the local government Web site to post notices update with travel recommendations and warnings.
The vacation villa market
Holiday villas in Thailand tend to fall into one of two categories. They are either privately owned, independent houses, villas or units that are part of a resort. These proposals are very different!
Resort Villas
The village-centered resort complex inventory essentially comprises a superior room, and will price accordingly. In many cases, these villas have been professionally designed by the hotel and then sold to a buyer to a third party, who in turn joins the pool leaving operated by the developer to provide a return on investment in the town buyer acquisition.
The advantage here is that the villa occupants generally may use of additional facilities or services provided by the center, although a "resort" prices. The disadvantage is that, for those seeking a richer experience true, that will simply find a hotel within a resort, and considered additional – albeit paid – "keys."
Private independent villas
Private villas are generally privately owned second homes, located on a private plot of land held.
These can be leased "as is" with the guests pick up the keys at the start of the trip and return at the end, either with or without a cleaning or security deposit. Alternatively, the Villa can have its own staff, usually live outside the property, but available throughout your stay to take care of cleaning, laundry, kitchen or local tours, etc.
Whether you choose a resort villa or property in private hands, you should expect to pay a partial deposit at the time of booking either by credit card or bank transfer.
Tried and tested
We have tested a series of holiday villas in Thailand and relief under a villa resort and a private villa – each with an exceptional holiday experiences but completely different.
Green gecko, northeastern Thailand
Green Gecko is a private villa, located on a large estate, surrounded by forests, plantations and rice fields in the heart of rural northeastern Thailand, near a town called Udon Thani. free airport transfer was arranged from the airport, which is accessible through a 50-minute flight from Bangkok Airways of Thailand or low-cost airline Nok Air or Air Asia.
Unlike the more mainstream places, we are here allowed us to discover and experience the real Thailand off the tourist beaten.
The architecture of the town was traditionally Thai: an impressive wooden staircase leading to the servants and closed deck wood, where he was our delightful private swimming pool, with rural views of the surrounding countryside and the sunsets at night. The steep roofs made terracotta tiles gave the house looks almost like a temple. A large "room" here offers protection from the midday sun became stronger and our favorite place, with pool view.
Access from the deck into two separate buildings were the two bedrooms (each with air conditioning) and as the living room and kitchen. The master bedroom had a solid teak four-poster king size bed with a cotton quilt and pillows, an adjoining bathroom WC and a large garden outside the shower. The second room had a queen size four poster, again with a large adjoining bathroom / WC.
The building distributed air-conditioned main dining room with table and seating for six people, a living room with comfortable sofas, overlooking the pool terrace and a sunken area furnished with futon for relaxing by the large screen LCD TV (with a separate high-end home theater system and international satellite channels). Leading from this area (behind sliding wood panels) was an extra toilet and a fully equipped kitchen Occidental (with built in microwave, oven, etc), which in turn led stainless steel to Thai cuisine.
We must confess that all this was very easy to use, but never use the kitchen – with the exception of help ourselves to a couple of beers with ice from the fridge! As the owner is a former chef, prepares meals for all guests during their stay, changing the hot or combination of these to the tastes of its guests. We were delighted to be displayed in the gardens to collect a number of herbs and spices, which were shown the spirit in the form of deliciously fresh and tangy northeastern dishes. We tested the classics as well: Thai food is definitely mouth-watering, and remaining in a town like this, where all meals are prepared for you, a chef who is willing to share their secrets, was a blessing!
We spent a good amount time just relaxing by the pool in complete privacy, but also enjoyed a series of excursions with our hosts to experience some of the sights and sounds in the Northeast. These include a spectacular journey on a wooden boat, through a lake that was essentially a vast expanse of pink lotus flowers, only interrupted by the occasional fisherman or water buffalo wallowing (propositioners marriage, take note!) also visited a local museum that seemed to refer to Thailand as the home of the Bronze Age, and a series of festivals noisy, colorful local markets and humid, and the silk farm cobra. However, our lasting impression was one of rural simplicity and the local population increasingly friendly, wants to ensure that we enjoyed our stay and shows an endless variety of indigenous food and drink!
Green Gecko can be booked for stays of two nights or more through its website, where the availability and fares may be available online (from around U.S. $ 280 including all transfers, service and meals.)

The Villas at Napasai, southern Thailand
The villas in Napasai are within the sea luxury resort on the northern coast of the island of Koh Samui in the southern Thai province of Surat Thani. Koh Samui is accessible through Bangkok Airways to Bangkok, with flights about an hour (depending on the aircraft or elected).
The resort is part of Orient-Express Hotels, Trains and Cruises: as such, both the town and the resort is managed professionally, and we were able to choose between our own Thai kitchen after a visit to local markets or walk just fine restaurant of the resort in Thailand in the evening.
The villas were located at one end of the property, located between the side of a steep hill behind our house and the sea in front. Each of the villas is stratified by the slope to the sea. We stayed in a villa two bedrooms, but three bedroom properties were also available. Beyond two well-appointed rooms, our property was a large living room with own kitchen, maid room, and at ground level, a private pool and "chill-out" zone. The main room was well furnished and had a player DVD, satellite TV and lovely balcony overlooking the sea, where we spent almost every night.
The island of Koh Samui is an important tourist center International and as such an abundance of activities are available for guests to explore waterfalls, elephant rides, paintball, watersports, diving, fishing, golf, etc. The hotel also offers shipping, Thai cooking classes, tennis courts, a gym and a spa.

Villa Search on the Internet in Thailand
Choosing a suitable holiday villa on the Internet is easy using Google, Yahoo, MSN, etc. Remember:
• Play with your search terms: using more specific keywords to help you get the details for a more "selective" property. "Villa with swimming pool rural Thailand" will give a more specific set of results that Villa "Thailand", and less likely that becomes a site of ads.
• Whenever possible, book directly with the owner of the property instead of through an ad site – in all likelihood as a listings site will charge a commission on top of the normal rate.
• Do not be afraid to ask for references.
• Travel in the offseason, and book early. Book early, as when a detached villa is reserved – is booked!
• Ensure that the property you choose has a telephone and address listed.
• Travel to a different place! What does a stay in a private villa memorable is the way that can be drawn from the resorts to enjoy a more authentic holiday.
Thai Airlines
Thailand's flag carrier offers many domestic flights, but travelers "in the know" turn to the local discount airlines. They offer frequent flights at a fraction of the price and in relative comfort. Try Nok Air or Air Asia.
Koh Samui is served by the airline boutique Bangkok Air.
