Corona beer freezing trick – explanation?
I just saw this video, with this cool trick, and wondered how it works is very good, but why? What is fine. You have to do what is called supercooling the liquid. You have to get the liquid colder than the freezing temperature in a relatively short amount of time, yet it will not freeze because the ice is necessary to make a just a little extra energy. (If you make it too slow, freeze as normal.) Interception gives enough of that extra energy to to ice crystals, and since it is already below the freezing point, solids will quickly.
