Beer Construction

Spanish sentence help construction?

I drank a lot of beer But do not tell my mother. This is my attempt to say, I drank a lot beers too, but do not tell my mother. I wonder, how do I say this in a college Spanish class. Thanks

Do not know about a school Spanish class but I'd say: "Bebi / I took too many beers But do not tell a mother / mother" can remove the "self." Although in English there is always a subject pronoun or phrases in Spanish this is not necessary many times since then we have a conjugation-specific person and time. And we have no specific verb for "drink", I use "Drinking" and "Take" as an alternative to daily use but I think "Drink" makes more sense for someone who is learning Spanish
