Beer Bread Self Rising Flour

Advice on making beer bread?

I found an old recipe for beer bread and two questions. 3 cups self-rising flour, sifted 3 tablespoons sugar Mix 12 oz bottle of beer. Pour into a mold prepared with nonstick spray. Bake 45 minutes. 375 degree oven. If only I have all-purpose flour use, do I have to add baking powder? Any idea how this would work with Sam Adams Octoberfest ale malt?

For each cup of all purpose flour, add 1 1 / 2 teaspoons baking powder and 1 / 2 teaspoon salt. As long as you like the taste of Sam Adams Octoberfest beer malt, there will be no problem. Remember this rule: never cook with an alcohol that would not drink. This applies to beer, wine and liquor. When cooking with alcohol, cooking water, thus multiplying taste of what you use.
