Beer Bourbon Barrel
Where I can find used bourbon or whiskey barrels that I can use for aging beer?
I would like to make a Lambic beer, which period of aging in oak barrels. I hear you can get relatively cheaper to use bourbon whiskey barrels and large companies, but have been unable to find a place that sells these. Does anyone have any suggestions on where I might be able to find one?
You do not want this lambic aged in used barrels. They taught bourbon / whiskey flavors in it … and as a connoisseur of bourbon barrel aged beers are lambics I personally feel it should be. would find Offer a local wine shop. Brewing your own Lambic (beer) in the home is perfectly legal and is not necessary to contact the ATF. Just do not go more than 100 gallons per year. PSS. Be long. A lambic is a proper combination of three lots from an age of three years, another for two and a third for one.Personally I have not tried one and I do not know at this point … if you're going to do it … do well.
