Beer Batter Breading

I'm really into cooking real home and I'm trying all kinds of new exciting recipes, but?
I do not want to use alcohol in my recipes. I do not mind using a bit of beer in a little mass of the product and some breads. But when it comes to tequila, whiskey, and so I do not want to do that. Mom told me that replacing just the apple juice to it. I can do that? Or is there something better that I can use?
