Beer Allergy Stuffy Nose
Allergies to Beer! Need help defining boundaries.?
First, my reactions to beer.
Either I get a instant headache, or a really stuffy nose.
My face gets red and chest, neck and face get really itchy.
I’m trying to discover good beers that I either don’t react to or at less of a reaction.
I know to stay away from IPA (instant headache)
I’m in college, drank some really shitty beer…..Keystone(stuffy nose), Natty(nothing anymore), Tecate(Stuffy), Bud L(itchy, depending it i’m sober enough to notice*)
I really like Killian’s, Shiner Bock, HoneyBrown(itchy, stuffy)
I’ve noticed the clearer the beer, the better. Blue moon is a headache. Spotted Cow(Wisconsin micro) is instant headache and itchiness.
Help me define where in the beer spectrum can I drink. Or is it a process I will have to find out with each sip.
Yeah, I’d find out what ingredients in beer you’re allergic to. Is it the hops? Do you have Celiac disease (an allergy to the gluten protein found in wheat and barley)? Once you find out what ingredient you’re allergic to, you’ll be able to pick a beer that has very little to none of that ingredient.
