Recipe for a beef stew base please?

I am looking for a recipe for beef stew base. I want to use beef, onions, leeks, carrots, potatoes, parsnips and maybe some peas, along with beef stock and bay leaves and mustard and stuff. Can anyone find a recipe these ingredients please, because the only people who seem to find are made with wine or beer (but I want to serve this to my family so no alcohol please!) or celery and mushrooms, I like. Can you help me please? xxx

Do not worry about using wine or beer – the alcohol evaporates when cooked, leaving only the flavor charming ago. All the best beef stew wine or beer! Here's my favorite recipe, but it might not be what you're looking for. I do not know how many are cooking for, so just judge the amounts of each ingredient based on the number of servings you need. Cube beef and brown over a high heat in a little olive oil. Add the bacon (1 per person), cut into pieces the size of a mouthful, and the whole peeled shallots (about 2 pp) and stir in. When the bacon is cooked, add sliced / diced carrots and Swede, then pour in a bottle (or more if you are serving more than four people) of Guinness. Add white pepper, mustard powder, a pinch of herbs, a beef stock cube and a bay leaf and simmer for half an hour while the dough … Mix 250g of flour, 1 teaspoon salt, 2tsp baking powder, 2 tablespoons olive oil, stir in 150 ml of milk. Make a mixture of dough into 16 balls of size Walnut with well-floured hands. Make sure the dish is in a baking dish, place the dumplings on top, and bake at 180 ยบ C (uncovered) during 35-40 minutes until golden brown on top! I serve this with roast potatoes and parsnips, and peas or cabbage. It's awesome! You can put the parsnips in the dish, along with Swedish and carrots if you wanted, and peas can be put in towards the end of cooking if you wanted to in the stew. But I do not recommend putting the potatoes in broth – That would probably end up cooked and fall apart. Good luck!
