Five mistakes to avoid in your job application Cruise
Cruise job applications, of which we have received thousands over the years, can be separated into three categories: excellent, average and poor!
Here are the five most common mistakes we see the majority of job seekers by over and over again:
1) Application for more than one position in the same application. Whether applying for a job on a cruise line big or small, extremely specific on the exact position you are applying for – not for more than one job at a time.
If you are applying to be an Assistant Contador, then say that clearly at the top of your resume and cover letter. If you are applying to work in Food & Beverage then write down exactly what job you are most appropriate for that department, if that is a waiter / waitress, bartender, etc. ..
Far too many curricula that do not indicate to be sent clearly enough job sailing ship are actually applying.
What I'm trying to say is that it is essential you do not send a general, blanket application … and we never thought that once one has read cruise recruiter your resume that will find a position fits your skills. Will not. Not when they have another 500 applications waiting to be watched!
And that's a big mistake not want you to do.
2) your CV should not exceed two pages (recruiters do not have time to read long-term returns).
3) your CV with an overload of too much personal information (A good example of this is to have a driver's license 'when you're applying to work in a boat!).
