Becoming a bartender in Oregon?
To get a license to bartend in Oregon, do I need to get my OLCC card AND take a bartending class or does the bartending class cover OLCC?
Yes, you must have your OLCC. I would say to save your money & DO NOT go to bartending school. Find a lil dive bar because they usually hire without experience. That’s how I got my start here!
I tell people I know to get a job at the Rose Garden becuase they have OLCC classes for their new employees (Still costs, but a lot easier). They’re not hiring right now for bartenders, but keep trying!
