What is a good job for a teacher to do during the summer?
I am looking for a summer job that pays decently, is not too taxing, and is tailored for teachers who have the summer off. I have taught for several years, and so far the only work that fits that description is a bartender at a summer resort. I would not do that anymore. What else is there?
There are two schools of thought on this. First, the work of a work that is part of what you teach. A science teacher could work in a vet clinic to collect the experience biology. A professor construction math could see how math is used in the real world. The second school of thought is to work a job you love. If you like act, check the local amusement park opportunities. If you like cars, check with your local service station. If you ever wanted to start a business, go for him! By the way, you say that the bartender did not work for you. But I found a research professor at the Biltmore House (in the mountains of North Carolina) and was bellhopping there because the money was good and loved the area.
