I'm looking to get into bar. I am researching and finding existing schools and certification programs Online. Are there certain licenses and certificates must have to serve drinks in IL? Thanks for the help!
I can not answer your specific question on IL, but I can tell you that I am a waiter, and schools are a waste of money, most states that I know what needs to be called certifacation stop. (AKA TIPS) may be differant there, but I had to take a 3 hour class and an essay (My class cost $ 25). If you can find an employer who will give you an opportunity to school real bartender, go! Most bartender is his personality, and customer service. You learn how to make all the drinks on the go. If I can help more, let me know.
