Bartending Ages

bartending ages
I have 20 and want to take bartending classes in VA, will I be able to find a job because of my age?

I live in Virginia and I just turned 20 2 months back on, and I've always wanted to work as a waiter. I was thinking about taking some classes and wanted to know if this is a good idea. I waited and received in a restaurant before, so I have some restaurant experience. Comments, suggestions appreciated.

Here is my brother's advice, in two parts. First, is likely to have heard the saying, "It is but I know what you do. Age does not matter.'s the impression you make. So before investing time and money on training, spend an afternoon meeting of managers of the places you want to work. Tell them you want to work there after receiving his certificate and see what they say. Not ask for any commitment. Just make friends. This tells you two things: 1) If the market is conducive to getting a job in your city / town, and 2) You can take a contact valuable. Now that I've met some friends who got a job as a waiter without any formal training, but to teach themselves. Go buy a book on cocktails, and then go to a bar for a couple of nights, and * * study how the waiter to do so. Then stay home for a few days, keep the TV off, and practice what they read and saw yourself. You could save a few hundred dollars. I hope it helps. PaymentKey.com
