Newcastle Brown Ale?
Do people in the UK really drink Newcastle Brown Ale? I'm sure there are plenty of local beers and ales in the UK people also do not really drink a big brand like Newcastle or if you prefer the local stuff?
Of course I drink. I I live near Newcastle in northeast England and I'm pretty sure it tastes much nicer in Newcastle. Also, when I went to London a couple of years I decided Newky get drunk with Brown (which was fairly easy in 4.7% by volume). It seemed a novelty at the time but it was when I woke up with the famous headache Ale Brown (in fact it feels like your head will explode). Also, forming a set of drawers in my room is a complete Alan Shearer Testimonial 2006 bottle of Brown Ale (Alan Shearer is Newcastle Uniteds all-time scorer with 206 goals up and probably the best player in the Premiership has ever seen). I have been told that if I keep this bottle filled for the next 30-40 years may be worth a lot of money.
