Great it is a curious issue I have. As far as I know CA does not have laws on the production of high alcohol beers. Well, yes, for tax purposes but not for production. This is what I have spent my fruitless search for the same respect to labeling. Section 7.71 of Part 7 of title of the Code of Federal Regulations. (Of which should take CA) CA Code 25 204 (a) (B) Any beer container sold within this state contains more than 5.7 percent alcohol by volume will include a statement of alcohol content. I have never met or heard that the state of California has a limit a production beer alcohol concentration.
